FACIAL CARE

FACIALS - The Medispa offers medical facials designed to cleanse and exfoliate your skin. Our facials are formulated to combine with Dr. Evans' acne regimens and as an adjunct to your healthy anti-aging skin care regimen. We use skin care products specifically selected to promote maximum skin health.

We offer Customized one hour facials with focus on rejuvenation of the skin or cleansing depending on your individual needs. Facials may be performed on the face, back and chest areas.

PEELS - Chemical peels have been used since the days of Cleopatra to rejuvenate the skin. The Medispa offers glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and a variety of other types of chemical peels specifically selected for your individual needs - whether it be as a therapeutic acne treatment, an anti-aging treatment, treatment of brown spots known as Melasma, or freshening and rejuvenating the skin. These treatments leave your skin cleansed and healed with a youthful glow.

Peels may be performed individually or as a series depending on your goals and needs. Dr. Evans and her staff will select the regimen that will be most beneficial to you. Chemical peels may be performed on the face, neck, chest and back to provide your optimal benefit.

MICRODERMABRASION - Skin is renewed and polished utilizing crystals to cause a gentle abrasion. This is a safe and effective way to stimulate new cells and regenerate collagen. Microdermabrasion is used to treat acne, acne scars, and as an effective anti-aging treatment.  With multiple treatments microdermabrasion diminishes fine lines, acne scars, and blotchiness. Skin is left with an even texture and a healthy glow. It is often used as a “pre-Oscar” treatment with the benefits immediately visible. A series of 6 treatments is generally recommended.

EXOLIFT - The Exolift system is used as an adjunct to our acne programs. By extracting blackheads with a topical agent in combination with an adhesive remover, Exolift leaves your pores thoroughly cleaned. Treatments are performed on the face and are recommended every 6 weeks for maximum benefit. Our staff will prescribe a customized therapeutic and maintenance acne therapy program to use between Exolift treatments.

PEDICURES

We perform medically-safe pedicures in our office. Here at the Medispa you can be confident in the safety of our nail and foot care. Our pedicures are done in a way that minimizes any risk of transmission of infection. All instruments used are fully sterilized at a medical-grade level, and all non-sterilizable products (files, brushes, polish, etc.) are not transferable person-to-person. Products or instruments that cannot be medically sterilized are dispensed in a pedicure kit for individual use. Kits should be brought to each pedicure session.

If you want to do your best to avoid picking up a bacterial or fungal infection on your feet or you have been diagnosed with athlete's foot or fungal nail infection, you can feel confident in your pedicures being performed at the Medispa. Our protocols for performing medically-safe pedicures means that you can feel confident in avoiding the transmission of fungal or other types of organisms. This is unique to our pedicure sessions.

HAIR REMOVAL

At the Medispa we offer all methods of hair removal. The specific method should be selected based on your individual needs and skin type. Waxing may be done on most body sites for temporary hair removal, and Removatron and Laser hair removal may be performed for more long-term results. We also dispense Vaniqa ™ cream to use in between treatments to slow hair regrowth.

WAXING - Waxing provides temporary hair removal from all body sites for men and women. The length of time for hair regrowth varies among individuals. We offer a sensitive-skin wax for people with more delicate skin issues or for those being treated with Retin-A. Our professional expertise and care prevents problems with excessive irritation and burns to the skin.

REMOVATRON - Removatron is a long-term hair removal system where heat and thermal removal of hairs destroy the hair and follicles. Smaller areas respond well to these treatments. Long-term destruction of hair follicles occurs with continued treatments to the same body or facial areas. Individuals with hair or skin colors not amenable to laser treatments might consider this method of long-term hair removal.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL - We now offer laser hair removal for all skin colors with the latest technology. The most innovative method of hair removal, Laser Therapy has revolutionized hair removal technology. This state of the art method uses light energy to destroy hair and hair follicles. Treatments are safe and effective without use of radiation, and can be used in men and women on all body sites. Treatments involve the use of light Energy only. Most patients require 6 treatment sessions over a year to effectively treat any given body or facial area. Hair regrowth diminishes with each treatment session, and final results are long-term. Maintenance treatments may be used for any residual hair regrowth after the year program. Laser hair removal may be safely used for all skin colors. BROW SHAPING - Our aesthetician can tweeze and shape your eyebrows to frame your face. Continued treatments can maintain your new look and may be combined with waxing or removatron treatments.
